I was all set to go for my first challenge in months in the Summer Meals challenge today. We'd spent ages looking through recipes etc, picking the ingredients and preparing everything today when I took out the camera to do some test setup shots, and for some reason the camera won't recognise the 50mm 1.8 lens. What happens when you switch it on is the camera makes the initial whirring sound it always does when it checks for the lens, but it repeats it every few seconds ad infinitum. When I hold the shutter button down to take a shot, it says "no lens attached"
It doesn't make any difference whether I use AF or MF. It only seems to happen with the one lens however.
I could do without another expensive electrical thing breaking on me :-(
Any ideas anyone? |

| Make sure the lens contacts aren't broken, and if they're dirty, gently wipe them clean. |
