I think the Epson inks are supposed to last longer but otherwise they are probably both strong choices. I read the other day that Kodak was selling inkjet photo paper that enjoyed 100yr+ longevity. Is that true? But might be worth looking into if you are concerned about that issue but like the Canon printer better.
 Just my 2cents :-) |

The canon has 2 picolotre drop sizes, and the Epson has 1.5 pL drops.

Does this make a lick of differences? |

I have no experience with the Canon printer. The R800 is great - fast, beautiful prints, quiet, takes a variety of papers (matte, lustre, glossy). Each of the inks can be replaced on their own, rather than in a cartridge with all the others (less wastage)

Archival up to 100 or 200 years or something similar, under the right conditions, and it'll also print CD labels which I've used a few times and is quite cool.

The Canon does have the individual tanks, but print heads?

is it better that a print head is attached to the printer, or a removeable cradle?? I'm thinking it is the cradle option. |
