My entry, and I'm VERY happy with it. VERY happy:

I had a great time shooting for this challenge - and I think a lot of other folks did, too. I know on my DPL team, everyone stepped out of the comfort zone for this one and I'm SO glad they did - it was a great experience!

Here are some of my other options (not that I didn't pick the right one - pretty sure I did!) and they each have a bit of story with them. How about you? Share your stories?

Melethia, you sure did pick the right one .. he has a haunting face and I kept coming back to it .. even my husband remarked how he thought it would ribbon. Congratulations on winning the round - wish you the best in the last one. :)

opps .. meant to post my outtake -

Not sure if I made the right choice and I had a few other portraits to choose from on top of these (multiple frames, as well). One thing I didn't find last week was anybody that was hanging out by nice warm, shadowy light...like in Manny's shot. Just about all my shots were taken within an hour or so of high-noon. Next week....right?

It was not easy trying to get shots in Seattle where people are polite, but very private and hate having their picture taken. I'm proud that I got out and did it anyway. Not sure I went with the right entry (worried about telling a story quite a bit), but these were on my short list- I had a medium list too ;-)

Last one is my entry, but in b/w. I didn't think it was as strong an image in b/w.

only had one really

but I like it no less my entry

both taken on the famous Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley, California. As ambaker said, it could be the same person, some 40 years apart...

entry:

I guess I went a little too far with the editing. His face was SO shiny and I thought this would be the best approach.

outtakes:

I'm REALLY impressed by the outtakes from everyone else!!! I think it was a good challenge to force us all to go out into the masses and not rely on people we know to use as models. Definitely took me out of my comfort zone! Meeting Bobby, who was my entry, brought a lot of things into perspective for me.
