I did not participate. I did not see fireworks for the first time since I met Steve. I stayed home, finished off the box of tissues and took my temperature. It STINKs when you have a cold on one of your favorite days of the ENTIRE year.
I love fireworks. Booooo Hooooo for me. Good luck all and thanks for letting me live vicariously through your shots. The are unfortunately without sound effects.

I have been going after the color and beauty of the pyro toys for the last couple of years. This year, I was after the whole experience, with the audience on the bridge in it.

Trying to put up a blog post for this tonight; will update link to point to blog when it's done.

Had a really crappy location; got stuck in gridlock traffic for nearly 2 hours trying to get to show. Couldn't make it through the mobs of people to get to the location I wanted, so finally just plopped the tripod down on a sidewalk along the way and fired away for a while.
ETA - Well, that's perfect -- farted around so long getting the link to work I shot the deadline. It's one of those day--err, weeks.

Not to worry. Deadline for shooting was extended to 3AM this morning DPC time, and for posting to Noon today DPC time :-)

Thanks for extending the deadline Robert! I'm away from home and things like editing and internet access are just a bit more challenging with the laptop.
