Hey.

I logged out to check my user ID so I could email my profile page to someone. Since then, DPC keeps making me log back in if I close my browser window or step away from my computer for a while. I've tried logging back in with the cookie check boxes unchecked, logging out, and then logging in with the cookies checked, but it still seems to log me out.

Did I do something wrong? :^(

Any ideas?

Try deleting your cookies; instructions here. Then you can re-check the cookies box and all should be right again.

Thanks, but that doesn't seem to be working either. Anything else I can try?

Any other suggestions? I'm still having problems on my primary computer. :( I'm using XP's IE.

Anyone else have this problem? (aka bump)

Not sure what the problem might be, but you didn't really need to log out to get your user ID in the first place :) Just click your name in the forum and it will take you to the link with your user ID at the end, or just go to //bikeracer.dpchallenge.com :)

Ok, now that's cool! Thanks!

I'm wondering if the cookie problem could be related to the apparent DPChallenge outages I've had over the past few days (and read about others having.) I have Earthlink cable which is carried over TWC's Road Runner service. Could that be the issue?

Check the security setttings and make sure you are not blocking the cookie from being created.

No, the cookie is being created. I've deleted and let the site create new cookies multiple times. :(

I think I used to have the same problem as you. It was fixed (thanks to Clubjuggle!) by making sure that the link I use to get to DPC says "//www.dpchallenge.com". One of my links did not have the "www" part in it so my computer was seeing it as a conflict.
Right click on the link/shortcut and make sure the properties have the link right! :)

I kept deleting cookies too. That won't fix it. What I have written above should do it.. let me know!

I'm pretty sure the link is the full address. It's still giving me problems. I can't figure it out. The cookie is getting generated every time, and when I go to login again, my username shows up automatically. It just won't log me in automatically anymore. All of this is since I clicked on logout once.
