Anybody own this lens? How do you protect your lens fromr dust when you use it? My dust-cap doesn't fit when I use the filter, it's annoying.

Any ideas what I should do?

If you can't find a dust-cap that fits, get a soft fabric lens 'pouch'.

Do you normally use a cover on your filters while you are using them?

I have this filter and it comes iwth a rubberized dust cap that is for storing the filter inside its plastic case. You should use your lenscap on the filter while it is on the camera probably.

But the 77mm lenscap that I have doesn't fit, because the lens has a "screw" function. Have no idea what to use.. Anyone?

Mistake.. mine doesn't fit either. It's the thin model. Its designed to be thin and you can't stack another filter on top of this one and the lenscap will not fit. It did come with a rubber cover though...

The Hoya Super HMC Pro-1 77mm circ-pol has threads on the front and works fine to attach the standard Canon lens cap (I just tried it).

I have the 77 Hoya Thin Super Polarizer...No threads there but I have a rubber cap.

Mine didn't have the rubber cap. (but I think it should have been included in the package)
