i have a feeling that this desaturated challenge will be one of the low scoring variety. not because the pictures are worse, but more to do with people not liking the technique. it wouldn't suprise me to see only one person at 7.0 or above. |

Laurie, good luck!
I might as well go over the entries and guess which one is yours. 6.6 is still a go for the ribbon. Depending on the quallity of the shots, this can even get a blue. For me...skipped the challenge again. Cannot seem to get good shots lately. But I do hhave one already for the Open Challenge.
BTW, I got your postcard. Mine will be with you soon. |

There is a similar train of thought in the "no Way" thread. People don't really like de-sat a lot it seems, but of course, I thought it was the one of the most awesome set of photos yet!! And Laurie -- we ARE rooting for you!

There are ten shots in this challenge that pretty much blew me away...and many more that I scored higher than a 6. This is a really nice bunch of shots...don't know where all the 4s and below are coming from. I had one 2, a few 3s and 4s, but from the threads I guess there are a lot of non-desat voters. Or non-kid, -flower, or -eye voters. I'm still hangin' in there at 6.6 but I won't hold my breath. Like an earlier post said...DPC is like a box of chocolates! ;o)

I went back through the Selective Desat shots and fine tuned my voting. I upped a lot of them after really studying them for a little bit. I don't have any under a 4 now. I think they all met the challenge in one way or another, some just moreso than others. I know there are a lot of folks who feel let-down about their scores, and I hope things take a more positive turn for them because there are very few bad shots this go-round. :o)

Cool I just saw my score jump a few 100ths of a point thanks Laurie! :-)
