This may never again happen in my lifetime, but after 10 votes I'm at a 7.10...can we stop now???? ;o)

There went my theory. I'm at 4.0 :(
Good job, Laurie.

Good job!

That's where I've been sitting for the last two or three challenges...maybe the winds are turning a bit. I haven't broken 5.6 since I got the new camera! But, I may be at a 4.0 by the morning, so I thought I'd relish this while it lasts! :o)

No stopping! (in Choices) I'm hoping to break a 4. -_- Dang, I never realized that something I'm so used to here in the US could hurt my score so badly. Nobody recognizes what it is. -_-

I have a feeling I know which is yours, and it deserves the 10!

It's the black and white one with something in color in it...shhhh...don't tell anyone! ;o)

Well, after all the effort I put into my entry, this my be my second to lowest score ever. I just can't seem to get it right.

It's late...people's eyes are tired. The voting almost always starts out low...that's why I was shocked to see mine up high. Maybe after the sun comes up on this side of the world things will be brighter! ;o)

I hear you and feel your pain. I worked on mine all week, have 20 different versions of it on my computer before deciding on this one and my selective desaturation shot is sitting at a 4.9 :( It seems the more effort I put into a shot, the lower it scores.

Deannda
And I thought I had a winner this time for real, Mondays suck :(

Et tu, Deannda? I had a tough time deciding between a number of good shots and probably should have thrown a dart. Sitting right there with you at 4.9.

You go Laurie! I had a shot recently that was at 8.000 after 10 votes. I hope you fare better than my 6.8 finish on that one.

Can someone pass me a "above 5.0 lifejacket"? I keep sinking below 5.0 and I don't want to drown!

Hehe, we're all in this together! I guess i'm the only one who is noticing the desaturated background in my photo. On to the next challenge :)

Somebody appparently overshot you, Beagle. I just coughed and sputtered my way up to 5.14. Thank you, kind stranger!

Gadzooks, I just got to a 4.0 and am thrilled! People will have to try harder when voting because I've had lower scores!!!! It is a proven fact, I can do worse.
06/21/2004 09:55:19 AM · #18
I knew the 7.1 wouldn't last long...but I am still holding a 6.75 after 37 votes. Maybe this one will be in the top 20 anyway. I was very pleased with the way the shot turned out anyway, so even if it fades out to oblivion I am still thrilled with it. :o)

I'm at a shocking 5.3 with mine... I'd have thought it'd be higher, but I guess I just don't know DPC voters anymore... ah well, back to the sink tank!

I am not that unhappy with my piddly 4.0 only because I chose to use this particular picture and I am happy with it. I had a better picture of a flower but didn't really want to use it so shot this other one instead. Scores are nice but as long as I like my own picture that is the important thing to me.

I do find it interesting that I have no comments.
06/21/2004 10:08:49 AM · #21
Whoops, spoke too soon, now I am back to 3.9535, although the individual that scored my picture a 2 did leave a nice comment about the graphics. Since this person thinks it has good graphics and it does meet the challenge I don't understand why they scored it a 2. Go figure!

Whoooaaa...with the next three votes, I went to a 6.60 so I guess my short stint flirting with the top 20 is fading...oh well! C'est la vie! :o)

6.60 is still top ten me thinks and still in ribbon contention. Scores should stabilize by now ... keep your fingers crossed. We're all rooting for you :-).

Good luck. I've never had a 6 before but one day...
06/21/2004 11:17:33 AM · #25
Hmmm... Went to bed with a 6.8 and woke up this morning to a 5.8. Maybe I'll just give up sleeping in the hope that my score will remain above a 6 for longer than a 24 hour period. My Choices score hasn't moved in 3 days -- sadly, I think it's passed away without telling anyone.
