I photographed Gibbs Peak (13,553ft.)in Sangre de Cristo Range, Colorado. In the edited version, I constructed clouds from nothing but white painted spots and added some Indian paintbrush to add color to yellows. There is some minor other additions. Nothing was added from anything but my imagination. Let me know what you think. Van

Key word = "Added." Translation = "Illegal."

The clouds did not come from the original photo therefore the image is not legal for these challenges. The editing tools are only to be used for correcting or enhancing images but not for painting in entirely new elements.

Is the original unedited or just pre-clouds? In the original pic, it looks like there were some cloning touch-ups in the sky along the mountain tops.

I think this original isn't quite the original I ment to post, but it was close. I may have done some work in the sky area. I posted the wrong one for the original. Mostly, is it legal to artistly add clouds in an open challenge. I though not, so I posted the shots to see if I was correct. Just checking.

In an OPEN challenge?? No way! That's spot editing.

I would think NO for MEMBER challenges as well because it was added, no matter if it came from existing pixels or not.

See this thread.

Also: this thread, although the photos discussed later on are no long on the site. Did they get disqualified at a later date??
