We visited the Greenville Botanical Garden and the East Texas Arboretum in Athens today and I took lots of pictures (duh!). These came out pretty decent and I thought I'd share. I was so excited to captures some bees and some butterflies this time! Anyway, it's mostly flowers, so flower haters, beware! :o)

New pictures from today's outing!

If you're in the area, the East Texas Arboretum is a really nice place to visit and photograph...lots of gardens, water features, long nature trails, bridges, rocks, sculptures, a 152-year-old house/museum, and it's only $3.00 per car load! I'm all about cheap thrills, let me tell you! ;o)

Thanks, y'all...it's so much fun!!!! My husband thinks I've become a raving lunatic since getting the new camera...I think I have taken somewhere around 4000 pictures in the last month! Maybe I should get help... ;o)

Laurie, are you using a macro lens, or just the "camera" as it came? My husband is having fit about this, and 4000 would mean you are kicked out of the house! LOL

Wow! Those Macro shots are great! Watch out Jacko you've got some competition! ;-)

No, this was just what the camera does. I have a set of 3 macro filter/lens thingies (whatever they are called) that go +1, +2, and +4, but I forgot to bring them today. So the camera alone does a great job on its own macro setting! :o)

Laurie, I didn't realize you lived in TX! That's my home state - born and raised. I sure do miss it. Hey, sometime when you're out and about and you think of it, would you snap a pic of a TX horizon? I haven't seen a landscape stretch for miles and miles since... well since I moved east!

Ah, but more to the point. Your pictures are fabulous! I love # 30!
