Most of the Kodak Carousel models were/are real work horses. I've got a 20 year old unit that is as reliable as when I bought it. Different models came with different features. Base models, you at next to it and advanced and focused from the unit. Up the food chain were, zoom lenses so you could fill the screen from where you were, rather than trying to rearrainge the world to fit your projector. Also autofocus, wired remotes, and the ability to advance the projector to keys hidden in sound tracks recorded on cassette tapes. One thing to watch for.... There were two different carousel assemblies. Normal, and high capacity. High capacity was 140 slides. (I believe normal was 80.) If you use cardboard slide mounts, and the high capacity trays, as the mounts age or get bent, jams could occur. Not much fun in a presentation, but then does anyone really use them for high stakes serious presentations anymore? Just something to keep in mind.
