I know this is hard with just bits and pieces of info, but how do you think most here would feel about a submission tht you have shown something very similar in your Portfolio recently? It is a "common" subject anyway, but do you think I should skip over entering it due to this? I think if I withdraw it off my profile, that is worse -- it makes it look like I had something to hide (using the actual same photo, etc.). Thanks for any opinions you may give.

I think it must be OK.
Everybody get their inspiration from somewhere. Why not drom your own pictures?

But I've read here once about Konador (witch is one of my favorite photographers btw) entering something similar
to a contest...

I don't know how most here would feel, but it would not bother me at all. I kinda like seeing the same subject in different versions, different lights, times, angles, and so on. I find it interesting to "get to know" a subject. But it depends on the subject, sometimes what one person finds interesting might not interest anyone else, and you run the risk of boring the viewer.

I don't think it would be a problem...there are a lot of similar types of shots that win ribbons, because they are good photographs. Quality should speak for itself, no matter where the inspiration comes from! Plus, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...so flatter yourself! ;o)

These 2 are similar. Based on the scores, there won't be a 3rd though.

Hey, at least you're consistent! ;-)
