I like this capture and am wondering if I'm the only one. I always get the same response from family...that's why I like it here. What do you think? Thanks.

Curious...shutter speed?
and the way those little guys zip around...how'd you do that.
I'd hang it on a wall in my house!

| Thanks, guys. Shutter speed 1/250th. He was dodging a bee and swooped right towards me. I used a flash unit directed slightly above him. Not sure why the color is funny in spots. The original looks even and I didn't do any post processing. |

Thanks again for the input.
I am obsessing with these hummingbird shots.
I spent a couple more hours shooting away, today. They are so quick and I keep "just missing" the most awesome, wow shots that anybody has ever seen! I'm just joking, as usual. But, I'm not joking about obsessing. I can't seem to leave it. I'm talking to myself, "Put the camera down and walk away. Good. Now, go get on the lawnmower and cut the grass. Oh, wait, look...just one more...". I'm beyond help. |
