If they harm or jeopardize the safety of my child through their actions, intentional or not, then yes, it is OK. Sorry, but that's the way it is. Messing with me is one thing, but mess with my kids and the gloves are coming off.
This guy better make himself scarce, he's this years Steve Bartman only with malice thrown in. I bet he's getting some phone calls.

Common sence, don't jump over a kid for a ball. If you do out of a moment of stupidity, make it right. If you don't make it right, you're a jerk and you deserve whatever you get.
Had he given the kid the ball and a pat on the head, I'd have titled this post Matt Starr is a great guy. He didn't. He's a JERK!

I agree...Matt Starr is a jerk if he could have caused the child injury or harm (I have not seen the video). At the same time, children are getting treated a lot worse all over the world. From living on the streets, to prostitution and pornography, rape, murder and torture.
Matt Starr may have just got carried away with his own youthful enthusiasm. It can be forgiven, even without a formal apology from him to the child and parents. But the other stuff can not be forgiven. We need to put things in perspective. |

He should have done that when this all happened. Not wait til after the press and public deem him a jerk for not doing it.

I take it back now. He is no longer a jerk. In the end he did the right thing. |
