It is unlikely that anyone will probe our aliens |

I'm more worried about being probed by aliens...hence the foil hat |

You have to be worried about more than that my friends... you know those things the dentist called "fillings"... well they are actually radio transmitting devices. They know your exact location and everything you say...
Gotta go... I just heard a swooshing sound, I think they are looking for me.

Cross posted from an old thread ...

But only a tin foil hat right, all the other stuff is way to dangerous. |
Maybe actual tin foil (if you could get it) would work, though a recent MIT study seems to suggest that an aluminum beanie will actually amplify any signals. However, there are also some sites which dispute the MIT results, so perhaps more large government grants will be necessary to find out (and supress) the ultimate truth of the matter ... |

Yes, the Flyer's comeback was something crazy, but it wasn't actually as great as most people are going to hype it up to be.
Boston lost two KEY guys right when the Flyers started coming back. Marco Sturm and David Krecji. Sturm was the leading point getter in the regular season for Boston and while losing him wasn't TOO key by itself, losing Krecji as well was death to the team. Add to that the fact that the Flyers got Simone Gagne back just as Boston lost Krecji? Well, that had "Two entirely different teams now playing each other" written all over it.
So it was an historic feat, but it was one that a lot of people actually CALLED when these players went down/came back. You could just see that Boston was a completely different team. They were devastated.
What does that say for Boston? Well, it says that they'd better hope they get Taylor Hall in the draft, or they'll continue to have absolutely no depth at forward, and can LOOK forward to another implosion in the playoffs next year. They've proven that they're simply too thin and fragile right now.
As for the Flyers, it doesn't matter if they beat Montreal or not. No matter who comes out of the east, they're going to be SLAUGHTERED by whoever comes out of the West. |

Which looks to be an attack by a top-level predator of either the sea or the sky ... :-)
And, that game (West final) is actually on (network) TV for a change. |

I guess The Flyers not having their leading goal scorer (Jeff Carter) and losing Brian Boucher in game 6 didn't have any impact on how their team played? Sounds like a convenient excuse as to why the Bruins choked. This is playoff hockey. Every team loses players and has guys banged up. |

Wow, talk about taking away from a great feat. Nobody cares how many players were hurt or not, that's not what goes into the history books. Nobody will know or care who went missing in a year from now but everyone will remember the great choke(s) of 2010: Washington and Boston. |

I would be good money that in a few years nobody will remember who choked. People have a tendency to forget about those that came second, never mind who lost in the quarter finals. Other than the Toronto Maple Laffs, hardly anyone remembers consistent losers. :O)
Oh wait...I forgot about the Bills :O)
