Worked fine for me. What problems are you having? If it helps I run WinXP, Internet Explorer updated with SP2.

I hope this helps

Tried it. It just kept loading and loading. Never saw anything. I closed the window.

And I also have SP2.

It does take a bit to load 139 images. I have a cable modem and it was still slow.

well... i just tried again. I got further this time, but it is taking time to load. I use a Cable connection, and I know my bandwidth is normal.

It works using Mac OS X Panther (v.10.3.6) and Safari.

Worked for me. Takes awhile to download but I am sure this is due to the volume of DPCers checking it out. I let it download the entire page then chose a couple different pictures to see if brought up the larger display and it did just fine. I am using windows XP and Mozilla-Firefox.

Ditto. The thumbnails seem a bit large at circa 8-13KB. I'd make them much smaller.

A minor point - your background image isn't wide enough for larger monitors. For me it tiles horizontally at about 1024 pixels, so I get the left hand side repeating again.

In Opera 7.54 (latest) I clicked on an thumbnail to enlarge whilst the others were still loading and I think Opera got bored, so it didn't load some of the others thumbnails. I seem to recall this happening with other browsers (on other sites) too.

Thanks folks.. I really think that the issue is the wait.. I believe some of the people reporting nothing happning for them is due to the issue of nothing showing until all the thumbs load... I appriciate all the help. ;)

Hey Gusto,

I like the idea of the site, there's a spelling mistake where it says 'allow the photos to completely load' you're missing an 'e' in completEly.

Again, I really like the idea of online proofing (wish I could do it) but the design on the splash page is a turnoff.

It's the server. Dreadfully slow. I'm on a Cable 4.0mbps connection and it stopped loading halfway. I took the liberty of tracing the speed to get to your server. Below are the results. It should be noted that I'm only in Miami, FL. It starts significantly slowing down (you can tell by the ms response) around the 144.232.9.198 IP. Entry #1 represents me, entry #20 represents that last server closest to your host that responds to pings. 50-99ms response times are pretty bad. A tracert to google normally yields 7-20ms response times (so you have a comparison).

It said stand by, refreshing to display 139 thumbs, refreshed with an empty page. Opera 7.54. Regardless of whether it's set to identify itself as opera or msie.

On a separate note, on the page where it says 'This Page is about to...', 'Page' doesn't need to be capitalized.

There's a syntax error in line 10 somewhere of the code. I don't know much about it, but ever since I installed C++ (came with VB for my one class) on my computer, it tells me when webpages have errors and asks me if I want to debug -- and for yours it says syntax error on line 10.

hope that helps.

IE 6 winXP SP1 works fine (little slow)
Firebird 0.7 waits showing now loading 139 ... yadda yadda yadda for a couple secs then retunrs to login winXP (NO SP)
Firefox 1.0 works fine (WIN XP)

VS.net 2003 says you have an error on line 11 of ../index.cfm/do/auth but only if i do a refresh

Yup, I got it too. Bottom left corner of Internet Exploder you will see a yellow symbol with a Exclamation Mark double click it and the error code will pop up...

Line 11, Character 1 Error: Syntax Error

../index.cfm/do/auth

Out of curiosity are you defining the javascript function popUp(URL) twice in that file?

11/08/2004 10:40:48 PM · #21
OK now I tried it with firefox (I'm bored, can you tell) I get nothing. Says it's going to load with 139 images, then back to the main page.
11/10/2004 07:03:23 PM · #22
yea that javascript you speak of points to two different popup pages one for faqs and one for proof codes
