I really love this photo, and it was completely an accident. I saw these trucks coming, and only had a couple seconds to shoot. I got one shot, but, color balance was off, as was the exposure compensation, so this is what I got. And I know that if I got the shot taken normally, it wouldn't be half as good.

Anyone else have any photos like this? Where the photo was with the wrong settings, but came out way better because of it?

Looks cool I like yours and I agree the impact is much better like this than with a good normal exposure.

Here is an accident of mine:

The blue color whasn't photoshopped or postprocessed in any way. It's a white ballance accident. LoL i'd like to reshoot this because of the light in the far tower that is fixed now, but I'm not sure if I can get the blue again.

This was a 'wrong' white balance too. I like to call it an interesting effect :P

Hey here is an idea. How about a challenge called ‘off white balance’. What do you think?? To me it sounds fun!

This is one I thought was cool. I took this photo of a Llama

and when I downloaded the pic and looked closely I saw my car perfectly reflected in his eye

It might be fun. Put it in the Challenge Suggestion forum and let them get it on the list.

Incandescent w/b used under flourescent light (a mistake I make too often) but the yellowish/gold works sometimes.

My favorite oops (and I've had a lot) was this one...

Taken at a monster truck rally in low light. Not quite sure exactly what was going on with the camera at that moment, but found it really eerie that the word "NIGHTMARE" seemed in focus when the rest of the shot was garbled up. Makes it look like a real nighmare.

Nice, I use tungsten whitebalancing for a lot of my night shots. It really helps make an otherwise dull brown sky more blue.

This was my submission for the "Album Cover" Challenge. I took about 50 shots. This one was one that I accidentally took after I changed the lights dramatically so It ended up over exposed. I tweaked it a bit in photo shot and was quite happy with the results.

By the way Movieman that's a great image. It has a real existentialist feeling about it.

Taken a few nights ago when my nephew came at my camera saying "cheese". Got lucky with the focus on his left eye. But I never would've exposed him this highly normally, but his brings out his chocolate mouth nicely.

i had my camera set for manual and then changed lenses. i have almost a dozen of these shots, which are rapidly becoming some of my favorites the more that i think about them.

i'm seriously thinking of entering this or a similar image in some things offline... happy mistake!
