This has happened the last three challenges I entered... I can't preview my submission, it goes to the pages with vote/comment fields, but no picture comes up.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Katy

Hmmm... I've verified it is currently working for me, so I don't think it is a website problem. Try deleting your cookies and see if that clears the problem.

I delete my cookies from the cookiejar quite often! I don't think that's causing it, but I'll go delete them again to see...
Thanks for the quick response!

Are you saying that you can't preview your image on the CHALLENGES page after you upload it?

Did you try deleting all your temporary internet files?
The browser will a lot of times store and reload the one on your hard drive.

What browser do you use? if you are using Mozilla/firefox, what adblock settings/filters do you have?

After submitting for a challenge, I can't preview that challenge submission. That's the only time I have this problem.
I'm using IE6, and when I first joined I wasn't having this problem...but now, I can't preview. My computer has been weird recently, with not loading images properly on the web. I guess that's it...probably nothing wrong with this site, just my new mcafee package! Argh!
Thanks for all the help,
Katy

Ahhh, yes, MacAfee may very well be the root of the problem. You may have to dive in to the settings to correct it. Sorry I can't help with specifics, I'm not familiar with the details of the MacAfee Product. That may change, since I just had it installed on my work laptop, LOL.

Oy, it's giving me such a headache. I redid my website and went to view it...uh, hehehe, none of my images showed up. I freaked out! But a friend said he could see them, so yep, mcafee sucks!
If you have this problem and happen to figure it out and fix it...email me, let me know how ya fixed it! :)
Thanks,

I'm not sure this is the McAfee problem.
I'm experiencing such problems myself, and I have never had any McAfee product on my computers.
I have 2 computers on a personal network, one is running IE6, with all the problems you mentioned and more.
The other one has IE5.5 and never had any problem!
My guess is a certain IE service pack or other security patch on the browser. Haven't had the time to play with it yet, and if I do I will let you know, but in any case, you can try to right-click a picture placeholder and choose "show picture". Insist on it. Maybe a couple of times if needed. It sometimes helps on the previews...

Do you have Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed on the machine that has problems? That may be the source of the issues.

It's so weird, though, because I've had IE6 and Service Pack 2 for a long time now and haven't had this problem...until getting Mcafee!! And the bastards charge $39 for a support call. OY!
Also, there is no image placeholder, there is no little box with a red X...it's just...where a picture should be...there ain't one!
I'll fiddle some more...you might be onto something with IE6 though.
Thanks again y'all...

Don't have Windows XP installed at all! I'm running Win2K, service pack 4 and all recent security patches.

Hmmm, you've got me stumped. I'm pretty sure there is some firewal feature tat is at fault, but not familiar enough with Win2K's latest security patches to know if one of them is to blame.
Are you sure there is no other pop-up blocking software running? Even something like the Google toolbar, maybe?

Nop. Absolutely nothing. I hate those softwares. They do more damage then help.
My only security is a wonderful router. But it has both computers work through it. One with a problem and the other is not.
Hmm... not seeing the image placeholder at all is also very weird.
On my computer, I see at least a part of the image placeholdser. I either see the red X, or the thin black border. I never see them both for the same picture, but at least one of them is always visible for a right-click...
