is there any way to retrieve your original photos, i had about 50 pics last night that i was playing around with, something happened to my computer...or "someone" happened to my comp, i dont know but now half of my originals are saved in B&W. is there any hope for me?

No if you don't have any backups of your originals.

Yeah, if you don't have the originals, you are what my daddy would have called "SOL." Sorry to hear about that...what a bummer for you. Maybe you can password-protect your computer? That sucks.

there is a way, if you haven't used your memorystick again since (even if you erased them from it), you can retreive them with a program called.. PC INSPECTORâ„¢ File Recovery. I used it once and saved quite a few photos. you can find it here:

Also worth a try for possibly recovering some of your lost images from your memory card is Data Rescue - I used it once and recovered over 200 images. It worked very well.

It's worth noting that photorescue is not free, while file recovery is.
