I live in the Chicago area and am looking to take a photography class.
Most of what i have found is film classes and VERY basic digital classes like learning to turn on a camera.....
Hope for any suggestions of a teacher to help expand my knowledge of the art of photography.

check in your local community college for courses you can audit for credit. It'll cost you some, but it's worth it.

This site offers several on line courses in case you wanted to go that way.
