What online site do you use to store your photos? Do you still keep them on your hard drive as well?
Thanks |

I've been considering Smugmug. Do any of you use it to sell via their $99 package? |

I may be soon. I'm not a pro, but even so I've been asked to do a few photo shoots for friends lately. I have a lot of photos to be printed, but dpcprints doesn't support private folders and I don't want to make these photos visible to the public. I think snugmug looks like the way to go for me.

For now, for your own private print jobs, put the "placeholder" JPEG in the Workshop folder of your Portfolio (doesn't show up in your Portfolio for others). After you upload the linked print file, do not request approval for public sale, and they will not appear on the Prints site. You will be able to order them in any size (except panoramics) through your Private Print Store.
If it's for someone else, you can place the order for them and have the photos drop-shipped to them; you have to collect the payment yourself that way.

Thanks! I may do that if I decide not to get a smugmug account. I'd prefer to allow my 'clients' to view the photos themselves, select the prints and sizes, pay for them, and have them shipped to their own home. Smugmug provides all of that plus lots more, like co-branding, private and password protected folders, yadda, yadda.

You customize the headers and footers and CSS to make the smugmug site look like the way you want.
