Quick Contest Question - DPChallenge Forums

I took some photos very early this morning and was considering becoming a member just so I could participate in the "Night II" challenge. My question is...in Photoshop the EXIF says, "Date Created: 1/1/1980 12:00 AM". When I view the 'details' in WinXP it has today's date and I've checked my camera and the date is correct there. Do you think my PS is goofing up...? What should I do?

Correction: In WinXP the the "Date Created" column is blank, but the "Date Picture Was Taken" column is correct with today's date...

Really enjoy your pictures on your website and very glad that you may be entering your first challenge.

I don't know if it's ok to have a SC member check the picture before you enter. Which Photoshop version are you using?

Other ways of checking EXIF info.

check the date on your camera.

Did you shoot in RAW and does this have anything to do with the problem? Anyone?

My bet is that it's okay if the camera date is right, but that's just my opinion. I would submit my entry, nonetheless!!

Thanks for your help! Fadoi, I tried out one of the shareware programs from the link you gave me and the date was today's. I'll see what happens. :-)

lol, thanks guys. I'm actually leaving tomorrow morning for an undetermined :-) destination for a few days and will eventually find my way to NYC for the Photo Plus Expo! I'll have to give my update button a workout when I return. :-)
