Wondering if I should crop above the waterline or not? I kind of like seeing the turtles' body underneath the water. Should I crop above the waterline?

Me...I'd prefer it with the crop at or just above the waterline. The abrupt loss of that beautiful, smooth, reflective water is a bit disconcerting to me. Just MHO. :o)

i agree with laurie. should be cropped to the water line

Thanks. What would be a good point for cropping. Center the head, head closer to the right hand side, left hand side, etc?

Don't mean to be banging my own drum but I've shot a few turtles myself and I like it the way you posted it.

I love the lovely, wet clarity of the whole shot. Cropping as shown above is effective, as it tightens the communication. I like the body below the waterline, too, but that's probably a different shot. It's always painful to rid a photo of half of its meaning, but in this case, you really have two photos in one. And there ain't room in this town for the both of 'em.
