Does this look apetizing? Would you buy this in a bar?

Here are my latest product shots. These help pay for my habit.

Comments are always welcome. Thanks for looking.

I'm suddenly craving a beer, so I guess mission accomplished. Those lighter, crisper beers look good against the white background. If this had been an English / Irish stout with a deep amber or brown color, then that always looks better against earth-tone or darker backgrounds, but this looks great for the product.

Off to the 'fridge

They both look great. But I like the Carlsberg better because the glass container looks better and the layout of the bottles.

But both are very enticing.

Nice work. I'll say that nobody would be sad to have these shots represent their product. Having said that, there are a couple things that might imrove them: this might be my monitor, but they look like they both would respond favorably to a bit more density in the midtone; the Moosehead bucket seems a little pale (or pail if you will) towards the bottom; on the Carlsburg bucket, the vertical highlights on the back two bottles are significantly brighter than the highlights on the other bottles. You have the vast majority of things right -- the ice hasn't melted into a big puddle in the bottom of the bucket, the bottles are appealingly sweaty, the labels are not all nicked and torn... it's the attention to detail that makes the difference.

If you could serve me anything like that in a bar I would buy it :)

It just looks hot!

Of the two, the Carlsberg shot is my favorite.
Both are great shots IMO, but the green glass rocks!

Not that either of them would lure me though. I'd rather blow a dead dog than drink a beer or eat an Anchovie - Patooey!

LOL

I love beer but I'm not fond of either of those brands. Still, very attractive shots. Needs more water drops in my opinion though to stress the chilled refreshing nature.

I don't much care for beer, but your pictures sure make me want to taste one.

I like both the shots (but not as much as I like beer...make mine a Sam Adams by the way). What attracts me to beer ads is the idea of being frosty cold. There is nothing I like better on a hot day than a beer in a frosted mug. These pictures don't quite say that to me.

As I've been to Ceske Budejovice I can tell you that budweiser is like making love in a canoe, i.e. f***ing close to water.
(actually the argument between CB and B/anauscher (or however their are spelled) is much more complicated, with CB being much older but Budweiser being the older trademark)
As regard the OP I like the green bottles better, but I haven't tasted Moosehead yet. Carlsberg is good beer, even if I like Tuborg better. My fav beer, however is Staropramen
I've just had a few Budejovicke Budvar and Tuborg. Time to go to sleep. GN

British Columbia's Kokanee is my all time favorite beer.

America...the country where dreams come true. Beer even comes out of the kitchen taps in America!

...of course, in Canada, we just call that water!

;0)

I do like Budweiser, but it has to be the Canadian version as it actually tastes like beer!

ew...no

edit: Not that the pictures aren't great, mind you...they're fab. I just can't stand beer! ;o)

fabulous shots! i'd try either of them (never tried those brands). :)

Very nicely executed. Agree that a dark background for the darker beer might've been slightly more intriguing.

Agree with roommates that we are out of beer. This is suddenly a problem.

Wow! Thanks for all the comments. Who'd have thought that so many people like beer?! LOL!

The shots shown here (with white BG) are actually only for presentation to my client. The actual file I gave the graphic artists is a TIFF with no BG. They are going to create a whole poster with text and an appropriate BG colour for the promotion. I don't create the final design, just shoot the product.

It's lots of fun, since I get to drink the product after I take a picture. Gotta love it!
