Please let us know what you think of the new forum look / features. Did we miss a feature you requested? Let us know.
We've eliminated the 'comment' field in your preferences and added a 'signature' field. You can now use this as your forum signature on all posts.
And finally... most importantly... let us know if (when) you have any bugs!!
Thanks, Drew

Love it. Except "reply with quote" seems to belong to a different post that I first expect. And I don't really like the horizontal rule before the sig.

I thought of a new one after seeing this post. It would be nice to see some of the following information besides just camera type in the forum: average vote recieved for photographers, average vote cast for voters.
I like the bold and italics options in the post, but if you select text and choose one of these options, instead of effecting the selected text, it just adds a new text block at the end which can be edited. It would be really nice if they effected selected text. That's just a stupid nit though, the improvements are great! |

I really like the changes, finally the posts are sorted, and it takes about half the size to display everything! Personally, I like the horizontal rule before the sig. |

Hey! you should stick everyone's profile pictures below their names in the column along the left side of the thread! It's small enough to avoid bulking up the thread too much, most posts are already taller than the extra pixels that the picture would add. This is a really easy change I bet, so I expect to see it soon. :) Avatars rule! It would be an incentive for people to actually upload something!

Except that they will be stale after a month and short post like the last two will be much longer in space. |

I checked, you're adding about 70 pixels on the one line posts. I could live with that! :) Pictures are only as stale as the poster lets them get, it'd be a perfect place to thumbnail alternates you didn't get to submit!

Maybe to encourage use of the forums, the photograph that user took for the current challenge could be placed on the left. I'd love a way to be able to start identifying people with styles. |

That is a [i]really[i] interesting idea, Myk... I'll talk to Langdon about that one. My big concern is that all the images would make the forums very cluttered again, and we put a lot of effort into cleaning them up. That, and the stale issue as was mentioned.

Perhaps the last challenge? I like not knowing who I am voting for. |

Definitely not the current voting challenge -- but yeah, the one I was considering was the challenge in current results. |

i vote to leave the pictures off the forum pages, i'd feel bad for all the dial up people, i tried voting last week on a dial up and it was very slow
you can see our submissions anyway, if you click on the poster's name

They could easily make it an option in preferences. "[x] Show user image for previous challenge in forums".

1) I would like to have access to the ISOspeed, aperture and shutter speed of each shot while in the voting stage.
2) I would prefer not being refered to as a "user" in the Profiles as I have never been a "user". Neither have I ever had a gay old time, and never will.
Thank You

Love the voting page, but could you add in some indication of what pictures you've commented on in the 'thumbnail' view ?
Also perhaps put in a 'next' and 'previous' type navigation to move through the list - I'd like to be able to go through and vote then perhaps go back and add comments ?

Gordon -- images you've commented on are currently indicated with a '**' next to your 1-10 scale, though we've made no reference for you to be aware of this :)
To leave a comment for a picture you've already voted on, just click the same vote number after you've entered your comment.

I cannot post unless I unclick the 'Apply signature' box? - I just get the 'page could not be displayed' message.

Had a choice recently between going broadband or a new camera - E20 won hands down!

Yup - I'm dumb. I just noticed that then came back here to find your response :)
I'll be sure and put in some more requests for features you've already implemented. Hey - have you considered doing a site where people can submit pictures for a particular challenge then people can vote on them ?
