Does anyone know or has anyone had inkjet prints dry mounted(mounted to couregated backer board) or laminated (adherred to MDF board)? I was told by one framer that it's not possible because of the high heat involved in the processes. I wonder is there a difference between pigmented inks, dye-based inks and paper choices in this regard?

I have not used any process that requires heat to mount inkjet prints. The coating on glossy papers will generally deteriorate badly with application of heat,
so I use Krylon Spray Adhesive to mount prints to a rigid poster board. Practice before mounting your valued prints!
