It was taken on Staten Island, NYC facing New Jersey with Manhattan in the background. I had troubles with the color version so i switched to black and white.
thanks!

It's an intersting perspective worth exploring. Maybe, if possible, go back when you have some nice clouds. I read in a book once that people get disoriented when a picture is taken that puts them in the middle of the water. I would suggest getting down lower and maybe moving to the right to get a little bit of land in the bottom of the frame.
I think it has a lot of possibilities. Did you stitch two photos together or crop? I like the porportions. |

I think it is an interesting photograph and it has a lot going on. May I ask what you were trying to make this photograph say to the viewer? Maybe that will let the view offer a better opinion. |

its a crop of a larger picture. sadly i dont have any nice clouds, the sky is pale blue and when i try to do any sort of adjustments to it it turns cyan.
I was trying to present the two contradicting sides of the shoreline, on one side the industrial new jersey coast and on the other the old, sort of historic Richmond Village on Staten Island. I was trying to use the foreground elemnts to lead into the picture.
