The local newspaper and movie theater is sponsering a contest for the best pictures of the balloon race (see this thread). Winner gets a year long pass for 2 for the theater. Anyway, I can't decide which one to print. I think these 4 are my best shots. Which one would do the best?

I can't say which would do best, but I personally like the 3rd one best.

I also like 1 and 3 the best. One is cool because you seem to be taking it from higher up (a balloon, maybe?). Nice shots.

Well, I've never been in a balloon but I was a bit higher than the baskets. The location is Art Hill (named that because it is in front of the Art Museum in Forest Park). The balloons were laid out and aired up on the hill and I was lucky enough to find a place towards the top on ledge about 5 feet high. But then I got unlucky when everyone in front of me stood up when they started airing the balloons. All the pictures (except the last one) were taken with me zooming past someones head and/or shoulders!

1 for me..
A few folks have said 3, but I'd suspect there will be lots of shots of full-frame balloons entered..
The only problem I have with 1 is that he vans seem to be on a heck of a lean.. You might want to rotate it slightly, and maybe up the saturation a wee bit to give the colours some punch.. Just my opinion of course.
Cheers, Me.

3 work for me...Would work better if you could read the entire ballon spelling...Good luck |

I think 1 is the best. Depending on how much room you have for cropping, I would rotate the pic to the left so it's level, and then clone out some of the cars on the ground. Include as much of the ballons as possible because they are cool looking. This one is the most "unique" out of all of them and may do the best. Also, try to liven up the colors a little. It looks a little flat right now.

I like #1. The ballon in the front gives it depth. Great color. I wonder if what it would look like in B&W. |

#1 for me to. It has a great focal point and plenty of interest.
