| I was pretty unimpressed by the high number of shots *without action* I didn't enter this one, since I don't know anyone who plays sports and wasn't going to spring for a ticket just to get action for the challenge. On the other hand, many people didn't seem to bother with the whole "action" part of the challenge, and a few didn't include a "team sport" (which I was more lenient about in voting due to personal opinion concerns). Why would I want to see people standing around? Molecules moving don't count as action :) Think about your shot before you submit please. |

There are some pretty amazing shots and some not so amazing ones. One thing to remember when shooting sports is you need a high frame rate, long fast lenses and a high shutter speed to freeze motion and to expose correctly. That's why those Big white lenses you see at all major sporting events are so expensive.

Not bad, but also not that good. I do think that this challenge does favor the college kids, like myself, who can get into games for free, and can get close up to the action.

Ok.. people.. I don't know what is up with you. Maybe it's the weather.. maybe it's terrorism hanging over all our heads.. maybe you're pissed at your child or spouse for something, but please.. PLEASE.. stop taking it out on my Team Sports entry today OK!?
I've dropped 0.35 points in ONE AFTERNOON.. from 150 votes to 171 votes.. from 5.85 to 5.50. This is the first time in 7 challenges (counting the two currently in voting), that I've ever seen such a phenomenon occur. in 21 votes, after the "supposed" level off at 150 votes.. a drop of 0.35. *BLINK*
I'm absolutely stunned.
I feel like crying.
Anyway.. how all y'all doing? 7.8s no doubt :)
(EDIT: 174 votes now, and 5.493.. where're the razor blades?)

Don't feel bad. I think a memo went out and today was the day for all the grumpy people to vote. Mine has gone from a consistent 6.0 to 5.8 in 3 hours. I'm sure that tomorrow the nice people begin voting again and we'll move past this quickly. good luck to you! |

Interesting. I gave out 4 7's, and that was my highest vote. I can't think of a challenge before this where I didn't give at least one ten! I gave out more 3 and 4s in this challenge than I ever have. Sorry folks. |
