I agree, "Cell:" or "Mobile:" although I looked through my sales reps' cards and saw every combination.

Mob.
Cellular
Cell Phone
C
M
Cell Phn
Direct

It depends on how you are listing other numbers (landline, fax, etc.
Most of the cards I see use either just the initials:
T
F
C

or the abbreviations
Tel
Fax
Cell

A few people prefer to write out the whole words ("Telephone" and "Facsimile" and "Cellular") and some are using the word "Mobile" instead of "Cell," since the latter refers to a particular technology, not the lifestyle.

I don't think I've seen it written as "cellphone" at all; maybe rarely as two words: cell phone.

Yeah, I definitely wouldn't put "cellphone" (as one word)...I haven't seen that either.

Thanks for the info (I was being a lazy typist with the cellphone joined!).

So 'M' vs 'C' - no problems either way then?

The C is slighty "safer" than the M -- more chance of it being instantly recognized. I think people are just getting used to the term "mobile" in this context.

I think either way should be fine. To spell it out, I would personally prefer "Mobile" but if you're going with one letter I'd be inclined to go with "C" because it might be more instantly recognizable...

Edit: I feel like a dork, but I didn't see GeneralE's post, honest!

Yeah, I'd go with C over M, but if the other two letters are T and F, I'm sure I'd figure it out either way.

No dorkiness required ... just check out my first post in this thread for an even better example of the "slow-typist" genre ... : )
