bloody fantastically incredibly well done there! slightly bit of a cheesy link between the headline and the picture (corporations, eh?), but still, go you for getting published in a not exactly piffling company publication! so, how'd it all happen? do tell!
PS - knew it was worth a ten... |

Hi Congrats on getting published, was the picture picked up from this site or from some other place? how did you get published in other words?? |

yes, the headline and the photo connection made me cringe a bit... ah well. they saw the photo (which is not exactly the one i used here--a facsimile if you will) on another site and emailed me. i struggled with the price and one of my good friends was furious that i didn't ask for thousands of dollars but ended up using the stock photo sites as a guide (misguided? i don't know) and asked $250. could have gotten more? probably.
wrote a rudimentary contract, one-time use, photo credit, i retain copywrite, blah blah. they signed, i signed and bob's your uncle, i'm in print!!

At //www.borders.com you can buy a book called 'the photographers market' it has listing of just about every numbskull that buys photos for just about any reason, from flowers to football, even playboy

Many of these types of books (Writer's Market, Songwriter's Market, etc.) are also often available at your local library, and used bookstores often have editions which are a year or two old but still useful for getting a feel for how it works. |
