I think this is going to be a high average voting challenge, looks like a lot of good shots in it.

Oh well, back to the norm, maybe I won't miss the Member challenges or that update button when my membership runs out.

All the pictures look good. I didn't enter but I think I will have to vote because the thumbs look so enticing. Good luck everyone.

What is up with all the iceland pictures. Is half the membership vacationing there? Beautiful shots, I just thought it was odd to see so many.

I knew I should've just sat it out. *sighs* I guess I couldn't resist getting another low score to bring down my average...

I didn't enter, and I'm thankful for that. There are some stunning images here, and I'd be lucky to make the top 50. About 20% of these entries deserve ribbons!

I think there are more of us Icelanders here than people from other countries if we take in count the population (we are famous for doing that) :-P

There are few photos from Iceland here yes, I have already voted on all of the photos (first round) and I remember at least 5 from Iceland.

Almost did it again. Emptied my card at about 20 till.
Chose 3 and edited them, chose one and submitted with under a minute to go (didn't even add specifics).

All things considered:

Happy with it for a 5 minute edit & submission.

The voting has just begun so there's really no need to stress over your score this early in the voting process, in my opinion, as your score can change so much within the first few days. I used to worry that my score would fall a lot in the second, third and even fourth day but I just watch it and see where it goes. I only worry on the last day of voting if my score is really low. Then I get really worried if I can't get out of a rut of many bad scores (like now). So, I just continue to take pictures of things I like and I don't worry if others like them or not.

I was just on vacation and my family was making fun of me because I always had my camera with me but that's when I get those rare photos and I will share those after I finish post processing over 400 shots! I just took pictures of whatever I wanted and I turned quite a few into desktop wallpaper while on vacation which is when they saw them and they really liked what I had done. Granted they were comments from family so maybe they were supposed to say positive things because I'm related but nevertheless I appreciated what they said.

I know this got a bit sidetracked and I apologize but I always see these types of threads pop up a day or so before or right after voting starts. So just go out, take some photos and, most importantly, have fun!

I also wanted to say that there are many great photos in this challenge and it's going to be tough to vote on these. I can already see myself giving a few 10s in this challenge and that's a testament to the overall quality of the submissions. Good luck to all who participated! :)

Mine started out okay and is now taking a nose dive. Given the competition, though... can't blame the voters :)

I agree that the quality of the entries is very high. I got a bit of a heart stop when I saw the first page with all the thumbs from Iceland worrying if there might be many of us Icelanders shooting the same spot.

Back to the drawing board. I really liked this picture. Guess not everybody else wanted. I only wish would get some comments on what needs to be done!

Grrrrrr I have 2 very complementary comments. Its a good photo but not your run of the mill I suppose. Jeez I'm gonna have a rant after this!

Hopefully I'll calm down over the week. Bob
