seems we're leaning toward the Zoo, thats cool with me especially if its near NYBG. But whatever you decide...I'ld like to see as many peolple as possible able to participate so if there's any problems with location speak up, lots of possibilities to choose from. Oh, and no bullet proof vests required for brooklyn, maybe some Yuppie proofing more like it these days.

lol........... hey you dont need a bullet proof vest for brooklyn, I live 10 mins form the brooklyn bridge and about 20 mins from prospect park theres a beautiful little park between the brooklyn bridge and the manhattan bridge also. And prospect park has some nice shots you can get also.

And for the bronx zoo that sounds ok also the botanical gardens sounds like a great idea since I have not been there in about 10 years.

Speaking of Brooklyn, doesn't the West Indian parade happen Monday? That is a wonderful photo-taking event, with great Carnivale-type constumes abounding, if you can work your way through the crowds.

Is it just me or is the zoo kind of.... how should I say... BORING.. Other then animals what is there to take photos of? Don't we want a bit more diversity in out photo ops? I like the Prospect park idea. I've never been there.. And as far as I know there is a small zoo in prospect Park also.

I'll never say no to Prospect Park as it is so close to my store, also the Botanic Gardens right across from the park.

I say we go to the Bronx Zoo.. have loads of parking & ticket coupons! Enough for all!

The zoo sounds cool. I just need to know nowish on dates. I have to see if I can set up my schedule so I can come up for the day. :)

if we do go to the zoo, im praying that its sunny enough to use my non-IS 75-300mm lens lol.

I thought the date was Oct 2. I hope thats it, it is one of the few saturdays I have off! :)
