Last 5 days was a busy.
Wed night, San Diego to Columbus, Ohio with a layover in Altlanta, GA.
2 Days in Columbus to see my sister on her 50th Birthday:
(I will spare you all the family shots, but thought this
one may be of special interest, as my sister is currently
going through agressive Cancer treatment.)
Back on the plane Friday afternoon, Columbus, Ohio to San Diego,
with a layover in Minneapolis.
A Bird's eye view
Back home at Midnight, cleaned-up, slept 2 hours and jumped in
my car and drove to Sun City, AZ (West of Phoenix).
Helped my Mom out with some stuff, errands, fixed the swamp cooler,
fixed her car and had the emissions testing done (passed).
I timed my drive so I would hit the desert / sand dunes at sunrise:
  
  
Then was a victim of a squadron of Arizona Butterfly
Kamikazies on the drive back home:
Of course I thought about Jacko while I was in Arizona:
Back home in just enough time to dump 200+ shots
from my CF card, open & edit one for the Fairy Challenge
and still had 30 seconds to spare.
There's no place like home... there's no place like home...

Brad, I'm drooling over your desert shots. They are really great! Terrific detail on the dragonfly, too!
Best wishes to your sister and family. She seems to be in good spirits and looks great.

Brad honey, those are simply gorgeous... I am in awe. One of these days I'll have to go to the desert to see that in person. Wow. And the dragonfly is really cool as well!
Your sister looks like she is in good spirits and I am sure your visit did wonders for her (and for you). You are all in our prayers as she fights her fight.
Glad you are back...we've needed a smart alec around here the past few days! ;o) |

How could I have forgotten this!
When I opened my shop this morning, the shop next
door dropped-off a UPS package that came while I was away.
Drum roll....
35mm equiv of a 420mm F2.8 lens!
Birds of the world beware!
