I made another trip to Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Falls yesterday. Here are four of many shots I took:

These are all really good. Some of them could do with a bit more attention on the background before you take the shot - to try and get something a bit less distracting. You can see that in the first one with the bright hot spots and the line that cuts through the background in the third shot. Just looking around and moving slightly can really make the subject jump out by avoiding these distractions.

Otherwise good shots - the light is a bit flat but that lets you get lots of details. Good stuff.

Thanks, Gordon. I appreciate the comments. Yeah, I am still learning the ropes, trying to remember about all the details that go into making (rather than taking) good photos. All technical details like exposure, aperture, ISO settings, lighting etc, plus composition, post processing...eventually I will get things right, some of the time, at least...next week I am off to Shenandoah National Park, I hope I will shoot some nature, landscape...
