I found the sky trails kinda fascinating; creating the roman numeral X in the sky...but I'm just weird like that. The hay field was just sitting there, right across the street from school, so I thought what the heck...snap a few pics. I did some different PS stuff to them just for kicks. If you're bored and have nothing better to do, tell me what you think. :o)

Hi Laurie :)!!!

The third one from the left is my favorite. It's the perfect happy-medium between your first and fourth shot. The fence is not too underexposed and the colors are saturated perfectly! What struck me about that one is the detail on the closest hay bail. Some great lighting. This is just my preference but if you cropped down a little bit on the bland sky, it would make an already strong image even stronger.

Happy shooting!

Thanks, Lee...I'll try the crop. I hated the sky, it was cloudy up halfway and then turned to a gorgeous blue...but oh well. Maybe I should just paint in the pretty blue sky! LOL

Nice shots, I think in the third one the fence post is a bit distracting because its not fully in the frame, but I do like the first one, it would also look great in B&W. I also like the last one, it would also look great in sepia.

you know that the "x" in the sky is what is reffered to as "chemtrails". They are usually followed by a thin layer of green ooze on the ground about on hour later. They are used by the government as a way to keep us pacified. Their top secret planes fly above a community, and make formations like this, spreading a chemical agent designed to make us more docile. They have been doing this since the '50s and have greatly improved the techology lately. They know that if they stopped this practice, there would be a fast, bloody rebellion against them, so they keep us doped into submission.

Terrific shots! I left comments on all. Can't believe you didn't have a tripod by the looks of them.

I know I should keep my feelings to myself, but yes, I do live in Sacramento (the area) now and am totally unable to embrace it. I have been here for years due to circumstances, but it will never be home. Southern California comes theo closest to being home for me. Sacramento is an environment, both physical and mental, that I just don't belong in or to. Sorry about the rant!

Hmmmm, same surroundings here in Missouri tooo...but jealous....c'mon.....Northern Cal is awlsome!!!! Many different setting you have up there.. Ocean, vally's, Mountains, Beaches, Snow a few hours north and sunny beaches in the sun a few hours south...best of both worlds...The Bay Area... the Red Woods and fog. Many unlimited places to photograph or even do....here in the middle...it's either hot or cold....kinda bland, except for Fall in the Ozarks (Southerm MO and AK areas)...I use to live in Alameda and a few years later in Petaluma, CA...man I wished I had a camera back then.....I would just move back to Northen CAl just for the photo opts it offers...However, I do see your point...here in the central states it's different from what you live near...visa versa... I can see the interests of a different location...say let's swap homes...but I won't pay the morgage out there..geeeezzzzzz...to high for me...:)
