I don't know why I'm thinking of this now, but when I first joined I was so excited to enter a photo into the challenge: Selective Desaturation that I went ahead and entered this photo:
Hoping that I could get away with entering it even though it wasn't taken within the deadlines, just fixed with Adobe within the deadlines (I was young, stupid, and too excited)
I was so pissed when it asked me to verify it, because I knew I had done wrong. Of course it was disqualified, and in my rage I almost left DPChallenge for good. Well, I got over my conniption fit, and I'm here to say that getting over it was well worth it.
(That's my two cents for new members)
Has anyone else had a similar experience on this website?

I haven;t but I am quite sure others have. BIG UPS to you for outing yourself tho. Takes some guts to tell everyone what you did as honestly as you have.

My grandmother used to always say that what goes up the devil's back crawls down the devil's belly... meaning if you do something wrong, you get yours in the end. Glad you learned something in the process with your experience. And I'm extremely delighted you didn't leave for good...we would have missed out on your beautiful work! :o)
BTW...I'm too chicken to even try it. If my date is wrong on a challenge entry, it's because I'm a dumb@ss and not conniving! :o) |

I'm now really starting to get into these challenges. With each challenge I do, I find myself to be drawn closer and closer to obsession with this website. |

Just curious- how hard would it have been to just reshoot the pic during the challenge dates? |

It was a photo I took of my girlfriend a week prior. The problem was that I took the photo while I was in the states with her. During the Challenge I was back in Germany without her...like I am now. :( |

Ouch. That would make me twice as upset. |
