Okay, ignoring the border (yes, I learned my lesson!), which of these two would have done better in botany?

I really like them both, but I'm going to be different and say that I like the 2nd one better. :-)

Ok, my turn :)

My botany image didn't do very well. 74th place I think .. ouch. Anyway .. I fear I submitted the wrong one as many people thought it didn't fit the challenge.

Did I make the wrong choice or was I destined to do poorly with my idea? ... lol

I had processed and even submitted the first. Later on, I went back and looked at my pictures and processed the second and then I spent the next week agonizing over whether I had made the right choice!

I'm glad it did so well. Now to keep moving the score up, huh? :-)

I think I like the second one a smidge better. I like the rich yellow as well as the perspective on the flower.

Again, like both a lot. I do like your submission image slightly more than the other though. Very creative, btw.

BTW Scanty... I had picked yours as the blue ribbon for vanishing point. I really like the one that got the blue ... but wish yours had been up there too.
