Agassi went out in the Semi-Finals, leaving Hewitt vs Muller in the Final. Hewitt won in straight sets and is $500,000 richer for his trouble! |

Amazing shots man!
Tennis is my favorite sport. Practice it as much as i can. I missed this year's Roger's comp. here in MOntreal - Canada 'cause i'm sick. I so wanted to go and shoot! Next year I'll be sure to be there.
What kind of Settings do you use to get that much contrast in your shots? |

I'm sure you could shoehorn Leyton Hewitt into the "Fairytales" challenge somehow :-) Excellent work!

I was lucky enough to be pretty close, so I was shooting with the Canon 70-200L f/2.8 IS, mostly at 200mm and wide open at f/2.8 |

Thanks! The contrast settings on the camera were set at default and the contrast was not lifted in PS. The Hewitt shots were taken at the final, right around midday. The sun was high and very strong, so that gave the high contrast. The Agassi shots were late evening under floodlight (at 1600 ISO) so needed a little NeatImage and suffered from a much lower shutter speed, but I'm still pretty happy with them. |

Dan, did you have any trouble getting in with your equipment (given the current security atmosphere)? Did you have some sort of "official" credentials to get up close?

I went through a pretty thorough bag search, other than that, no problem. |

You obviously have a knack for capturing the decisive moment. These all reflect top-notch sports photography - in fact much better than a lot of shots I see in magazines.
