My little girl grew up overnight and started kindergarten...she loved it, but I had a tough time.

Moments to remember, and thanks goodness you know how to capture it!
20+ years from now, that kind of shot will always bring back the memories.

My five-year old started kindergarten today as well... but it wasn't so traumatic for me, as he was in PreK last year... I cried then. My 10-year old started Intermediate school today (5th grade) and he was like "Mom, don't kiss me in front of anyone I know..." So it starts... ;o)

". . .turn around and she'll be a young girl walking out of the door." Go ahead. Get all choked up. It only gets worse! But then. . . you'll have the grand children.
She is a very pretty young lady! |

She is just gorgeous. It is always torn feelings when they go to school I think. Firstly because you are not the ones teaching them the majority of their learning anymore, secondly because you want to keep them home so they are safe, but on the other hand it is so exciting for them. My eldest got to pick his electives for next year last night. I felt all emotional because I can remember doing this. It shocks me that he is that age already. The principal was talking about getting their school certificates. That is just plain scary. He is already talking about getting a part time job after school and saving for his first car. Arrghhh. Give me kindy days anytime. :o) |

What's freaky is that her little sister starts kindergarten next year, the same day my oldest begins his senior year of high school. The cycle continues :) |

Edit: Has anyone told you that you look exactly like Michael Jackson? I think I'm going to have nightmares tonight...
