Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D

So, I got creamed on this one. My second (or first) worst scoring entry to date. Do you think my alternate would have scored better?

Not that this is what you want to hear, but yes I think your alternate would have done better. In the submitted photo the compositions is just not there -- and the rubber ducky seems to be pulling back from the stink of your feet. :D

The alternate has the composition, and conveys a much more relaxed atmosphere. It tells the 'story' of relaxing in the tub as the world goes right on by (the duck helps with the last part).

But how could they have been better? IMHO -- Show more leg. ;) No, seriously, the second one has a stronger composition (in part) because of the suggested diagonal of the right foot. More leg, and more of a diagonal, would have helped. Also, nothing is more relaxing than a HOT bath -- so steam would have helped with that.

I think it would have looked better with some bubbles. I like the one you entered better.

I thought it was an 'average shot' and gave it a 5. I prefer your alternative entry and would have given it a 6. I would not loose any sleep over where you finished. Just enter and be damned! Dont try and figure out how folks vote on this site 'cos it will drive you insane..

I gave you a 7 ... I like it ... better than the alternate ... hate the image noise though. why iso 1600?
