Along the lines of the nude one so those of us who are arachnophobes can choose not to see them.

I just hate coming across these unexpectedly and I know that sounds stupid and there are hundreds of phobias and you can't have a checkbox against each one but this is one of the most common in the whole world and ... uuugh... I hate those little critters.

Things with 8 legs should not be allowed to live.

Unless they are in the sea coz I like octopus and crabs as they taste good and don't move so creepily.

conquering the fear is the only way to rid yourself of the phobia.

imagine how many more mosquitos there would be if it weren't for spiders. they also eat lots of bugs that are harmful to the garden. and this is coming from someone who grew up with spiders the size of your hand living in the house. i am no big fan - but they have their place on earth the same as you and i.

remember a photo can't hurt you ;}

Making me laugh K.

I'd vote for a used tea-bags check box - makes me shiver.

Indeed. Spiders are good things. I have 2 living within view right now. One hides behind my blinds on a window corner, the other behind my monitor. They both have LOTS of dead mosquitoes and other flies sucked dry in their webs :)

I 100% agree with this idea. I've jumped out of my skin when voting at times in the past... at the very least a warning would be good!

Er... logic doesn't really do much against the phobia.

I KNOW there are no poisonous ones in the UK.
I KNOW they can't hurt me.
I KNOW they perform useful bug eating duties.

I HATE the little f****rs with a passion.

And I'm thinking arachnophobia is more common than usedteabagophobia! ROFL ;)

I tell you it makes my heart lurch really badly each time I see one. HATE THEM. They are EVIL. All their kind should be exterminated.

No way that dude would have been allowed in my car with a tarantula.

The other day I was really really brave and killed one all by myself.
Had to wash my hands really well though incase any spider juice had got through the toilet paper.

Snake check box too please - there used to be an orange snake who would turn up way to often.

i didn't let him - let it lose - he didn't mention it until i noticed the top was off the transport container...

Ooooh, ooooh. How about a "This photo DOESN'T contain hot chicks!!" or a similar button that is politically correct? Yeah.

haha

Sorry, Kavey. I think you should get a warning, too. Perhaps the images containing arachnids could gradually fade in to help you combat your overwhelming feelings or something.

if they are saved as progressive jpegs they do fade in - in three chunks... at least i think thats how it works.

Thing wouldn't have been allowed in my car even if it were dead. But I accept that I'm not rational.

And people complain about lack of "wow" factor! :)

It's not so bad if I can see it in a thumb and avoid it but I often don't see thumbs first, I click on one, vote and off I go.

To the person who warned me off his/ her Botany entry but let me know the eight-legged devil was not real... ROFL.
