I just got through taking my first set of portraits for a family. I didn't charge them much since it was my first time. They were great sports and I had a great time with it. I would love any comments you might have about the two pics I have posted.

I looked at the second one. My suggestion would be to warm it up a little bit and try to balance out the shadows and highlights.

edit: Maybe not quite as warm as my sample above though...

I think I would try and clone out that sign for the aboretum. Also try and lighten the shadows a bit =) very nice otherwise

Those are really nice, Drake. I agree with the other posters about the shadows/highlights, and Jeremy's suggestion about the sign. I thought I'd also add that you chose a really great location. I love the setting for both of the ones you've posted, especially the one of Jacob, and I'm sure there are more... do we get to see those??? (hint hint) ;o)
