I know most of the people here use Canon and Nikon products, but I was wondering if any of the Kodak users have tried any of their add-on lenses. I have a DX4350 and I'm thinking about investing in a wide angle and telephoto lens. I read somewhere that adding these lenses can cause weird effects. I was wondering if anyone had experience with these products. |

Hi Donna!
I have the Kodak DX-6490. I've been using it since May, so I don't have a whole lot of experience with it or the only lens I have to go with it... the .7x wide angle lens. I have taken quite a few photos with it, especially on our vacation last month...I have been very pleased with the results. I haven't had much difficulty with distortions or weird effects, but then again, they may all look weird and I just like it that way (LOL). I haven't been disappointed at all. Here are a few examples:

Hope this helps in some small way... :o)

Thanks for replying Laurie. I got mine (a dx4530) back in March and I'm pretty happy with the results myself. Kodak does offer a couple of add-on lenses. One is a wide angle and the other is telephoto. There is their brand and then I found another on e-bay but I am weary of trying either of these.
Has anyone else that has a Kodak or an enexpensive model tried these lenses. |

Just a word of warning about the add-on lenses sold on e-bay, e.g. the "Crystal Optics", "Titanium Digital Optics", etc.
They are typically of very poor quality. Get the ones made or recommended for your camera by the manufacturer, you'll be far better off.
