I've had a few emails regarding my flash set up for my Latest Portrait of Samuel. I use a Canon 550EX flash, 420EX flash, a ST-E2 wireless transmitter, 2 light stands with flash brackets and 2 umbrellas. This is what it looks like:
I set up my "studio" in the basement.
You'll find the flash mounts by typing in "Flash Mount" at Ebay. They attach to regular light stands. I think mine can extend of to 8 feet. I used a 15x9 feet white backdrop I also got on Ebay.
The 420EX and the 550EX both come with a mount that can be attached to a tripod so they act as slaves.
One last thing. I'm on vacation for 2 weeks away from home and I forgot to keep an original of my Safari Sam pic with me. It'll get DQ'd if I can't come up with an orignal. I'll have to call a buddy up to have him send me a copy from home. Would suck to have a DQ since over 50 people took the time to comment on that image before the challenge was over.

OMG... Sam2 is by far one of the cutest pictures I think you've taken of him. He's got such great expressions! You can't help but let out a little laugh when you look at that one. :-) |

Brilliant, I've been looking for flash mounts like this for a while. The kid will have to wait for a few years though...
But I can borrow my syster's daughter anytime! =)))

Enjoy it while he will sit long enough to take more than one pic! Very nice pics. |

I was going to suggest ABC's "Wide World of Sports" and the infamous "agony of defeat" ski jump of Vinko Bogataj, but figured you probably wouldn't know that reference either...
