I'm just wondering, is it ok to submit a photo taken before the given submission dates is over in the US time, but after it's over in Europe? Does it matter if the EXIF info says it's taken after the last submission date? It's impossible to submit a photo after the photos have come into the voting period.

As long as the time in the EXIF when adjusted to DPC time falls within the challenge time frame, you should be good.

How is that being done, adjusted to DPC time?

one of the questions when submitting a pic is the location of the pic, so with this information the time zone can be easily derived in the case of your pic being questioned.

Ok, so it is ok if I shoot a photo for a challenge after the submission dates given, that's good to know and only fair. Thanks for the info, I couldn't find information in the rules about this, it should be there if it isn't.

Your last question: You will only be able to submit up until the voting begins. So, no matter where you are located, once the voting starts you will not be able to submit to that challenge.

If your photo is called into question and you are asked to submit an original, please provide as much information to the site council as you can about the location of the exposure and your post processing details. This will help greatly in the determination of the validity of your photograph.
