Well at least I thought it was interesting to find a perfect "§" symbol out in the "wild".
Thought I'd share.

This picture makes me giddy! I dig the hell out of it. I'm also reminded of OU - the University of Oklahoma (oddly)... They 'shadow' the O and U in the logo much similar to the shadowing in this photograph.
Back to the photograph - I'm a huge fan of black and white shots of 'words'. Signs all over the place. I most appreciate ironic words ("no dumping" signs near two tombstones that say "dunagin")... That sort of thing.
But I definitely also appreciate the random word ripped out of context. And with S having the symbol look to it - it just makes it interesting.
What does that symbol stand for, by the way? I have no idea...!
Very cool!

Well, in my personal experiences as an educator, I have seen it a lot...it's in all the legal documents and reports (etc., etc.) from the TEA (Texas Education Agency) and it's the symbol that we all call "section." Like if we were talking about a student being in the 504 program at our school, we would actually be referring to Section (that symbol) 504 of the TEA code. I guess it might be used in other legal documents and such as well. :o)
