| Boy this is strange, this is the highest rated one at 6.91 in 33 votes, 35 views that I have so far in DPC, but not a single comment ?? thats unlike everything else I have had. In fact the 2nd vote tonight actually pegged it at his/her favorite too... |

So far this challenge has seen my lowest scores ever. I know it is still early but after 31 votes it hasn't climbed much. I don't get it, honestly.

Maybe this is the problem my shot is suffering. How many photos do they have to look at before these folks figure out that the challenge wasn't to make a photo of the moon? |

| I'm only a fairly new DPCer. My third challenge. So far only 4.08 with 25 votes. It was just a quick pic though so I can't complain too much. |

Either your commenter is going to be leaving this comment on 95% of the images.. or would just give up without voting 20% minimum :)
Just scanned through the entries.. fewer than 20 of 290 have the color blue add something to the picture. Most are just hue shifted normal photographs.

I'm tickled pink so far.
My score is currently 6.1515, and I took this shot with a cheap, plastic "kit lens" from a twelve year old film Rebel just to see if I could produce a decent image with it. My goal was (and is) to finish above 5.0 in this challenge with that lens (the old 35-80, worth about $60, or so I'm told, for those who are curious).

Uh oh, I hope people don't think mine is all faked out like that. Yes, I hue shifted it, but that's because I couldn't find a certain blue thing I needed, but the very radical lighting I used is real, and not Photoshopped in. But I suppose the voters will think I just used a bunch of lame filters. Crap. |

I guess that one nine and comment for the first vote I recieved meant absolutely nothing.
I'm currently sitting at a 5.2 with still just the one comment I got in the very beginning. I had a 6.667 with like 10 votes when I left to watch a movie and this is what I came back to.
For Macro I had a 6.1 with 11 votes before I left to see the movie, and now it;s at a 4.8.
My macro shot was taken 20 minutes before the challenge, but I really like it. And my blue shot, I think definitely deserves more. But anyway. I guessit's still above my average, so it's okay. |

I really don't like the wording for this challenge. After my first read through I thought it was about the moon. Figured it out with some help, but it looks like others were just as misguided.

Eh, it was okay. I ordered Psycho Beach Party on HBO on Demand since today was the last day. It was okay. Much better than Club Dread anyway. |

Im getting killed in this one, i spent like 3 hours setting this shot up and was really proud of it. The the other hand I spent 15 min on the macro shot and Im doing really well. Go figure!

I know what a sub 5 feels like. :( My Everyday Object score is only at 4.2 I think a gotta try stop offending people with my pictures if I want to start getting better scores.lol

It's happened again. I'm down .2000 since my last report.
I don't know why this is, but every time I report in public I'm getting a good score in a given challenge (during the challenge), that score begins to slide and never recovers. I'm not talking about the early 10-vote scores, I'm talking about when it normally settles in (about 80-100 votes). If I say it out loud I can pretty much guarantee it will then begin to go down. <>
I think it's the same principle as when a baseball announcer says there's a no-hitter going on, and sure enough, the next guy up slaps a single up the middle.

I think I'm headed for a sub four :( Its stange because I really really like this shot. I would, and may, print it and hang it on my wall. It has nothing to do with the moon however. I hope those who vote down because they think the challenge was about the moon go back in and revote when they find out their mistake.
And then again, maybe it just sucks to everyone else. Hope I get some comments so I can see what people don't like about it.
