i have no children so, perhaps, i'm out of line expressing my thoughts here. i will, though, simply because they keep running through my mind.

you're quite right...i don't equate the pretend, comical violence of fantasy characters that have been around since the 1930's to the horror and threat of ever increasing and bolder pedophiles. forgive my ignorance, but i don't see how one is relevant to the other.

honestly, i don't find this series of child photos to be the least bit appealing nor do i find them to be at all pornographic. well, with the exception of the one i mentioned in an earlier post..."Orange Chair"...even that one is not pornographic but has a different feeling from the rest because it seems posed. i'm not a prude, by any stretch of the imagination, and i do see the innocence of a young child growing up. pornographic...no. irresponsible...possibly. it's wasn't my decision to make, though.

all i can do is express my thoughts about the photos. i don't see them as pornographic but i do believe that a family album is the best place for them. that doesn't make me puritanical or an idiot nor does it make me at risk of "sitting all day in front of the TV gaining 300 kg" or being uncultured. i just choose to err on the side of caution when it comes to photos of naked children.

now, since i can't keep my eyes open anymore, i'm off to bed. goodnight/day, all :-)

I went, I saw, I was unimpressed! I'm with Kavey, how in the world did this collection get raised to Gallery Status?

As for the nudity, it's what you as the parent are comfortable with. I have butt shots of all my kids, James being the most recent. I have done suggestive shots with Melissa as seen here:

She looks like all she has on is a sheet, guess what? She has way more than on!

Read the comments, I'm a horrible mother by some standards and when I explained some of the comments to her she got all weird on me but now she brags about it!

She wants to possibly model and while I may not be totally comfortable with some of the clothing, posing and such that she might be put in as a result I will be there by her side every step of the way and the moment she feels uncomfortable I will step in. She knows that.

When your right your right!
It is amazing how this big brain of ours betrays our evolutionary instinct.
