Usually, to see hidden tools (i.e. the circular marquee tool under the rectangular marquee tool), I click and hold until I see those options. Somehow I must have switched on some option, because now those options come up when I just single-click the buttons. As you can imagine, it's mega annoying.

Has anyone ever had this problem? It just started on me the other day, and I have no idea why. I'm on PC. Thx in advance.

I get that all the time and have no idea why it appears, it just goes back after a while again with no idea how i did it.

Try downloading windowasher which can restore some options perhaps. You may have to go into advanced settings.

While we are on Photoshop irking. Anyone know a way to redefine the keys in the CS file browser ?

In particular I'd want to redefine the tag and rank keys.

As to drew's photoshop problem, I'd suggest deleting your preferences.

Just hold down Alt, Ctrl, and Shift keys while starting Photoshop.
A dialog box will appear asking if you wish to delete the preferences file.

I find much the same thing happens on a PC regardless of the application I'm running. Sometimes a single-click acts like a click-lock. It may have to do with how fast the click is, as sometimes it "takes" and sometimes it doesn't.

I looked under the Edit/Keyboard shortcuts, but could not find any pertaining to the File Browser and if able to change them. Anyone else find anything in there?
